Last weekend, Dave and I flew to Halifax to visit our friends, Catherine and Pete, who moved to Seaforth, Nova Scotia (a small town about 40 minutes outside of Halifax) last September so Catherine could complete an internship for school. They’re currently headed back to Ontario, so we made it just in time to get a glimpse of their life in the Maritimes. Here are some Instagrams of our awesome trip.
Catherine and I lookin’ tough on our hike in Taylor Head Provincial Park.
After the hike, we had a picnic lunch on a giant rock close to shore.
Fish and chips from the Halifax Farmers’ Market.
We toured the Halifax citadel (aka Fort George) and stopped for a photo op with the Canada Parks mascot, Parka. You can tell she’s a girl by her skirt and her eyelashes…
We stopped at the Garrison Brewery twice on the trip and sipped $2.00 samples on the patio. Such a cheap and satisfying refreshment.
We took a boat cruise of the harbour and got panoramic views of Halifax and Dartmouth.
Our lovely hosts enjoying a cocktail at their favorite bar, The Henry House, located in a historic 1834 building.
Dave and I also enjoying a cocktail The Henry House.
